REAXIS® C162

REAXIS® C162, Stannous Chloride Anhydrous, is an inorganic tin catalyst used in the synthesis of polyesters and monomeric esters. Additional uses and features of REAXIS® C162 include:

  • Crosslinking of elastomers
  • Synthesis of polyester polyols
  • Solubility in polar solvents
  • Good reducing agent for organic reactions

REAXIS® C162 also finds use in Sn/Pd activator formulations for POP. It is also a preferred tin source for tin/nickel alloy plating and as a surface color modifier for art glass.

Storage Conditions

REAXIS® C162 should be stored in the original packaging in the absence of moisture. The container should be closed tightly after each use to maximize shelf life.
