Catalysts for Silicones
Reaxis offers a wide range of catalysts for condensation-cured silicones that are used in coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers (CASE). Specific applications include catalysis of silicone fluids, room temperature vulcanized (RTV) elastomers and adhesives/sealants, silane-modified polymers (SMP), and polyethylene-terminated silanes (PEX). Our product portfolio includes catalysts that impart preferential cure depending on functionality (acetoxy, alkoxy, and oxime), desired cure profile, selectivity and hydrolytic stability. We have a wide selection of organotin, stannous tin, zinc, bismuth products, some of which can be custom blended in various plasticizers, silanes, and other diluents.

The electrolytic coloring process is one of the major methods to color anodized aluminum, and has the advantage of providing better light fastness as compared to other coloring processes. Tin is the most stable metal salt which can be deposited at the bottom of the pores during this process, resulting in improved throwing power compared to other metals.
