Reaxis® C188, Stannous Oxide, is a free-flowing inorganic tin that is a excellent catalyst for a wide range of esterification reactions. In addition, Reaxis® C188 has the following features:

  • Neutral and non-corrosive
  • Complete conversions with short reaction times due to high catalytic activity
  • Minimal secondary reactions and colored by-products compared to acid catalysts
  • Very useful for oleochemical ester reactions.

Reaxis® C188 is also used in the metal finishing industry for tin and tin alloy plating processes.
