Reaxis is proud to announce the recertification of both ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 in the 2nd quarter of 2024. ISO certifications are official recognitions from the International Organization for Standardization. ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 are international quality/environmental management systems that help organizations establish standards and guidelines that meet our customers’ needs by employing quality guidelines and adhering to the statutory/regulatory requirements related to the products we produce and sell and their environment.
By meeting the standards for ISO certification, Reaxis is continuously demonstrating a commitment to product quality, continuous improvement, sustainability, environmental management, and risk management. The Reaxis McDonald, PA site has been certified since 1997, while our UPARC site has achieved initial certification in 2018 for both ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9000:2015 standards.
Both of these ISO certifications are risk-based standards that identify risks and continuous opportunities in doing business. ISO 9001 certification benefits decision-making, output, cost, productivity, waste, marketing, and international trade. ISO 14001 involves the development of a management system that focuses our day-to-day operations on improving environmental aspects, compliance with regulatory demands, and supporting employee health & safety. For example, since the achievement of these certifications, we have been able to reduce our facility emissions by approximately 70%.
We support our ISO quality and environmental management systems by employing Lean Six Sigma and adhering to EcoVadis standards. We currently have employees who have achieved Lean Six Sigma black belts and master black belts. This master black belt will mentor the personnel in Lean Six Sigma at Reaxis, helping to reinforce and refine Lean Six Sigma standards across the organization. Reaxis has achieved an Eco Vadis Gold rating for the past 4 years.
